Planes Mistaken for Stars / Rescue Rooms Nottingham
US rock band Planes Mistaken for Stars returned to the UK for a series of shows, performing at the Rescue Rooms in Nottingham on 4 December 2019.
One of the heaviest groups of the post-hardcore underground scene in the 2000s this show didn’t disappoint as their gritty, rough and discordant punk, laced with melody and imbued with the spirit of classic rock'n'roll entertained the Nottingham crowd.
Support was provided by two excellent local Nottingham bands with post-hardcore 4-piece Merrick’s Tusk, who pull influences from the likes of the Rival Schools, and Psychedelic Doom/Stoner Metal Damn Craters. 2019 marked the release of the Damn Craters first album An Ocean of Satellites.
