Tiger Army / Rescue Rooms Nottingham
US Psychobilly legends Tiger Army descended on the Rescue Rooms in Nottingham last night to kickstart the UK leg of their 2019 RetroFuture European tour.
So here we were back at the Rescue Rooms in Nottingham again, this time for the visit of US band Tiger Army. I love the Rescue Rooms for so many reasons, a small and intimate venue where you can get up close and personal with the bands, and you can normally meet the bands for a drink before or after the show.
Most of the setlist came from the V album, and the latest release RetroFuture, including such hits as Prisoner of the Night, Pain, Devil that you Don’t Know and Eyes of the Night, with a few old classics thrown in along the way.
Tiger Army were supported by Grave Pleasures and The Nightmares.
Grave Pleasures are a Finnish post-punk band from Helsinki fronted by Wimbledon, London born Mat “Kvosht” McNerney. Formed in 2010, the band members are Mat "Kvohst" McNerney (Vocals), Valtteri Arino (Bass), Juho Vanhanen (Guitars), Aleksi Kiiskilä (Guitars) and Rainer Tuomikanto (Drums)
The Nightmares hale from Newport, South Wales and consist of the quartet of Adam Parslow (vocals and guitar), Eleanor Coburn (keys), James Mattock (drums) and Benjamin T. Mainwaring (bass).
