Polish Prog-Rock legends Riverside are back in the UK
Polish Progressive Rock legends Riverside are back on UK shores, as they embark on their eight night UK / Ireland tour. This is a show you won’t want to miss, and we’re excited to be heading down to SWX in Bristol on Monday night to take in the tour !
Hailing from Warsaw, Riverside were founded by Mariusz Duda, Piotr Grudziński, Piotr Kozieradzki and Jacek Melnicki back in 2001, from their shared love of progressive rock and heavy metal. With influences ranging from Tangerine Dream through to heavy metal and including prog rock legends such as Pink Floyd, Rush, Tool and Marillion, Riverside can be described as a blend of atmospheric rock and metal elements, something fans of Porcupine Tree, Pain of Salvation and The Pineapple Thief would enjoy.

Over the last 22 years, Riverside have built a big reputation, regularly touring all over the world, and with 8 full-length albums, 2 mini albums, and 2 live albums under their belts, they have become one of the bands at the top forefront of modern progressive rock.
In 2023 with the release of their latest album “ID.Entity” the band is in their most dynamic and energetic form. You can watch a short video on the making of “ID.Entity” below:
The last tour in 2023 was pretty much sold out and were a huge success. And now, because of high demand, the band have returned again, with special guests, the French art-rock band Klone. We saw Klone a while ago supporting Devin Townsend and they were brilliant, but this time, they will be performing a special ‘Unplugged’ set – we can’t wait !
The Riverside 2024 shows are going to be a night to remember. As Mariusz Duda explains:
"We're coming back! We remember the fantastic shows in the UK and Ireland in the spring of 2023. Because we haven't visited the Islands too often since the Wasteland tour, we will return with our biggest UK/Ireland tour to date.
We'd be very happy to meet you all (again). So before we close the chapter on 'ID.Entity' and take a break, come join us!"
