The original line up of Jane's Addiction is recording again !

Huge news as legendary US rock band Jane's Addiction have released a brand single Imminent Redemption. This is the bands first new music with the original line up of singer Perry Farrell, guitarist Dave Navarro, drummer Stephen Perkins and bassist Eric Avery, in over three decades.

Speaking on the new single the band said - "It is different this time. To have everyone back together, releasing new music. It’s time. Welcome to the next chapter of Jane’s Addiction. Imminent Redemption is only the beginning."

Earlier this year the band returned to Europe for their first tour in over 14 years. The run included a very special intimate show at Bush Hall, London and two sell out shows of London's Roundhouse and a headline slot at Bearded Theory Festival. The band will be touring the US this August supported by Love & Rockets and Crawlers.

Formed back in 1985, Jane's Addiction are a world renowned, much loved, hugely ahead of their time classic American rock band from Los Angeles, consisting of vocalist Perry Farrell, guitarist Dave Navarro, drummer Stephen Perkins and bassist Eric Avery. Founded by Farrell and Avery, following the disintegration of Farrell's previous band PSi Com, Jane's Addiction's first release was the stunning, self-titled live album “Janes Addiction” (1987), which lead to two studio albums, “Nothing Shocking” (1988) and “Ritual De Lo Habitual” (1990). The band's initial farewell tour, in 1991, launched the first Lollapalooza which has since become a perennial alternative rock festival. The band have broken up and reformed (once in 1997 with Flea taking over bass duties for Avery on a one off tour, then in 2001 with Martyn LeNoble and later Chris Chaney on the bass), and in 2003 released the hugely acclaimed “Strays” album, before dissolving again the following year. 2008 saw the band reform and tour the world and in 2011 they released the brilliant “The Great Escape Artist” album (with Chaney on bass again). They have since then continued to play shows and remain active, when in 2022 Eric Avery returned to the group ahead of a joint tour with The Smashing Pumpkins.
