Hailing from small town Fergus, Ontario, in Canada, Madison Galloway has been making waves in the Canadian music scene. She charms audiences with her refreshing original tunes, while delivering her bluesy roots-rock sound, hallmarked by her soulful voice and guitar prowess, and bolstered by her dynamic and talented band.
Following the release of her song Open Your Eyes, which has garnered over 125K streams, Madison was honoured with the title of "Southern Rock Artist of the Year" (2023) at the prestigious Josie Music Awards (Nashville, TN). Currently, Madison is set to release her highly anticipated sophomore album in June 2024, promising to captivate audiences with her continued innovation and unmistakable sound.
The Commoners are currently riding high on Planet Rock Radio for the sixth time with their latest single Shake You Off. The single follows hot on the heels of their previous singles The Way I Am and Devil ‘Teasin Me that received hundreds of spins on Planet Rock. The singles are taken from the band’s forthcoming studio album “Restless” released by Gypsy Soul Records on Friday 5 July. The new album is available to order on their website HERE.
Following their critically acclaimed 2022 sophomore album “Find A Better Way”, on their latest album “Restless”, the Canadian Roots-Rock quintet continue their musical journey to provide listeners with a hearty dose of Southern-style swagger accentuated with slide guitar, organ swell, and heartfelt vocals.
With introspective, slower-tempo numbers pocketed amongst rip-roaring anthems, the new album, recorded at RHC Music in Toronto, is a portrait of a hardworking group revitalizing a classic genre.
“As with our previous album, we wanted to marry old and new southern rock together in a way that was unique to the band’s Canadian roots,” says the Commoners guitarist and producer Ross Hayes Citrullo. “By adding the soul and rock elements of The Black Crowes, and the southern blues rock undertones of The Allman Brothers to a production style akin to Blackberry Smoke and Rival Sons, I think we developed an authentic sound that compares sonically to some of our favourite records across all of those music genres.”
