US Southern Rock 'n Rollers Preacher Stone drop new single
US southern rock n’ rollers Preacher Stone release their emotive and inspiring new single and video Rise Up on Armistice Day November 11 available on all digital platforms. Frontman Ronnie Riddle muses passionately, “The pandemic was in full swing, and the news was filled with negative and divisive stories. Afterwards, Marty Hill (guitar) brought the musical arrangement to rehearsal for our new album, and everyone added their own personal touches. The lyrics are a reflection of the times and it grew into this epic piece of music that we’re sure all can relate to from any walk of life. We hope that the listener can relate to the song and be inspired to be a good person during any trying times.”
Kicking boots out of North Carolina USA, their high-octane, 200 proof, rock-n-roll guitar-driven songs about the common man with heart-wrenching smoky bar frequenting tales, and the swagger of their live performances have earned them a legion of faithful fans known as “The Congregation”. Alongside Ronnie and founding member Marty, the band of brothers are steeped in musical heritage with Ben Robinson (guitar), Jim Bolt (bass), Johnny Webb (B3 & piano) and Josh Wyatt (drums). Their song Not Today was featured on two seasons of the hit Fox TV series Sons of Anarchy and earlier this year saw them embark on debut UK shows to rapturous acclaim from fans and critics alike. Previous tours include across the United States and Europe having shared the stage with legendary acts Lynyrd Skynyrd, ZZ Top, Deep Purple and more.
Going on to tease their much awaited new album slated for release in 2024, the well-travelled and hard-seasoned have this to say for now, “‘Rise Up’ along with ‘Damage Is Done’, which we released back in the spring, was one of the first songs written for ‘Preacher Stone V’. Yes, that’s the title of the album folks and we can’t wait to share it with all when the time comes as it’s our best work yet!”
