Half Man Half Biscuit return to Rock City

Half Man Half Biscuit return to Rock City

Former by friends Neil Crossley and singer, guitarist and songwriter Nigel Blackwell in Birkenhead in 1984, Half Man Half Biscuit are best known for their satirical, sardonic and frankly sometimes downright surreal songs (such as ‘Dickie Davies Eyes’ and the brilliant ‘All I Want for Christmas is a Dulka Praha Away Kit’). Their debut album ‘Back in the DHSS’ in 1985 topped the UK Indy album chart, and their first single, ‘The Trumpton Riots’ in 1986 topped the UK Indy singles chart. A favourite of the late, great DJ John Peel, they recorded 12 Peel sessions, and famously refused to play on The Tube, because Tranmere Rovers were playing at the same time !
