Chopstix champion new music with the launch of 'Red Box Sessions'

Chopstix, the nation’s favourite noodle bar, has announced a groundbreaking new music initiative that champions the best in emerging UK talent. The Red Box Sessions brings together the hottest new and emerging artists from across the UK music industry, playing host to a diverse array of musical talent.

Chopstix’s iconic red food box design has also been reimagined to create a set that brings fans closer to the artists they love or are soon to discover. The initiative, which involves both the famed fast-food brand and WMA, one of the world’s biggest music agencies, builds on the noodle bar’s love for innovation and creativity, spotlighting talent from across the country.

After dominating the food space, Chopstix is now expanding into other creative sectors, with music always being a key passion of the brand’s team and its customers. Inspired by intimate sessions such as the BBC's Live Lounge and NPR's Tiny Desk, Chopstix has created its own compact and striking set that brings big bold flavours to life through a series of exclusive live sessions.

Each session features two songs, with artists presenting both an original song as well as a cover of a hit classic, creating a multi-dimensional musical performance.

Haydn Williams, Music & Partnerships Consultant for Chopstix said: "At Chopstix we want to provide a platform for the finest emerging artists from a wide range of genres. The Sessions are a place for music lovers to discover fresh talent inside our iconic Red Box - and there’s so much more great music to come!"

Crystina Cinti, Global Vice President at WMA said: “It’s been incredibly exciting to work with Chopstix on the Red Box Sessions, which was born out of a genuine passion to champion artists and to give them a platform to showcase their music. We can’t wait to see the sessions grow and to work with more artists!”

Kicking off the sessions last year was the youth vocal group known as Flames Collective. Fast becoming the go-to vocal group to liven up a show or recording, Flames Collective have already collaborated with the likes of Kojey Radical, Grace Carter, and Jake Bugg. They have also been RAYE's go-to vocal group for performances at the BRITS, The O2, Glastonbury, Reading and Leeds, as well as Radio 1’s Big Weekend. Flames Collective showcased their unique sound as Chopstix's inaugural talent, delivering their signature blend of R&B, pop, and soul. The troupe created an original song titled Flava to officially open the Red Box Sessions this summer. The song is a youthful, personalised tune that is extremely catchy, musically brilliant and impossible not to move to. Flames Collective also performed an original song they wrote called Unfold for the session, which showcases the range of talent within the group.

MODERNLOVE

One of the most recent sessions features the larger-than-life Irish indie-pop quartet modernlove. Consisting of Barry Lally (vocals/guitar), Graham Fagen (guitar), Daniel Rooney (bass), and Cian McClusky (drums), the group has become synonymous with creating relatable stories, youthful honesty, and enticing future-pop sonics. Born from the peak of the pandemic, modernlove connects with their listeners by creating music that delves deep into the complexities of everyday life. Performing their hit single Follow You, modernlove’s Red Box Session peels back the layers of production, offering an intimate acoustic landscape, amplifying their vocals and musical talents. Hot on the heels of their latest single being picked for Radio 1's Future Alternative, modernlove. are heading on a UK & Europe tour this autumn. After four active years and selling out shows in London, the Netherlands, and Germany, they are the perfect fit for the Red Box Sessions, targeting Gen Z listeners specifically. Fans have already been commenting their love for the session, saying it’s the “crossover they didn’t know they needed”.

GRACE DAVIES

The latest artist to be featured on Chopstix’s Red Box Sessions is Grace Davies, a runner-up on the X Factor who has continued releasing music and providing guest vocals. At 27, Davies has earned a dedicated fan base through her cleverly crafted lyrics, incredible vocals, and songwriting ability. Her exceptional storytelling provides listeners with a nuanced, emotionally intelligent approach to music, masterfully balancing retro elements with contemporary pop sensibilities. Since the beginning of her career, Grace has scored great successes, with over 100M+ streams on Spotify, support across radio, and acclaim from The Sunday Times to the BBC. In her upcoming Red Box Session, Davies is ready to captivate listeners with her mesmerising artistry.

Chopstix’s Red Box Sessions will continue to champion emerging UK talent in 2025, with rising artists TWST and Tom Moutchi confirmed for future sessions. With an exciting year ahead, these sessions will provide an intimate glimpse into the next generation of artists and the best of British talent.
