Apocalyptica announce new dates for their headline tour with Epica and Wheel
Sometimes, bad news can end up bringing unexpected great news. Apocalyptica have been touring with Epica in the Epic Apocalypse tour to rave reviews, but have had to cancel the remaining 2020 shows because of the ongoing Covid-1 situation.
The band have now confirmed the revised 2021 dates for the remaining shows, and the great news is that an additional show has been added, at Rock City in Nottingham ! Planned for Friday 16 April 2020 it should be a show not to miss. Apocalyptica hail from Finland and play instrumental metal, mainly on chelos, and the tour follows the January 2020 release of their latest album '“Cell-O”. They are joined by co-headliners Epica who will bring their symphonic metal to Rock City. The Dutch/German/Belgian band are working on a new album to be released later this year.

Support for the Nottingham show, is being provided by Finnish prog rock/metal band Wheel. LiveWire had the absolute pleasure of seeing Wheel earlier in 2020 perform their own headline show at Beta @ Rock City, supported by Norwegian metal band The New Death Cult. Wheel’s debut album “Moving Backwards” remains one of our favourite albums of 2019.
With Apocalyptica, Epica and Wheel all complimenting each other, this is a solid line up and if you like your metal atmospheric and mesmerising, this is a show NOT to miss.
